Postcards from Czech Republic, Germany, Taiwan & Ukraine!
Postcards presenting churches and other religious buildings. Churches are a current topic since it is Easter soon, right?
Czech Republic (I have actually visited that church) & Taiwan
Germany & Ukraine. This card from Germany is my newest card, I received it on Thursday this week.

These three postcards are the last three state map postcards I own. I believe I haven't published any of these before like I have done with some other postcards...

Little Garden
As a little girl I dreamt of becoming a gardener. I was very enthusiastic about flowers and plants but frankly, I didn't take a very good care of them... Watering wasn't that hard but weeding... was not my cup of tea. Now, many many years later, I have discovered the same enthusiasm for gardening again. I still don't have a real garden and I think having one wouldn't be such a good idea. Instead, I have a little "inside garden". I have twelve plants of ten different species in my apartment and the number is growing.

In case you were wondering why I'm growing grass on a milk carton, it's because Easter is coming. I don't know about other countries, but in Finland we traditionally grow "Easter grass". That's why I grow grass.
Another thing you may wonder is the very dead-looking plant. It is my China rose that suffered from a severe lack of water during my Christmas break... (and so did some other plants too, as you can see) But it is recovering now, you can see some green in it. So my advice to you is: Always remember to water your plants!!!

Postcards from Australia, France, Germany & USA!
Postcards showing the most recognizable landmarks of four different countries.
For those of you who don't know, the first one here is Statue of Liberty in New York City, USA, the second one is Ayers Rock in Australia,...
...the third one is Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, and the fourth one Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany. But I'm sure you all knew this already ;)
Of all of these sights I have seen only one, Statue of Liberty, from distance. Hopefully someday I will get the chance to see all of these sights close. Until that happens, I settle for collecting postcards of these sights :)

Best Movie Moments
This is the scene that made Tom Cruise famous - the scene from the movie Risky Business where he dances and sings on his underwear. That is not the only memorable dance scene Tom Cruise has made...
The most memorable movie line ever - "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" - from the movie Gone with the Wind.
The famous spaghetti eating - kissing scene from Lady and the Tramp. A scene that has been copied by others several times.
Finally, from the movie When Harry Met Sally... the famous faking it -scene. This is a scene that makes even the viewer embarrassed, not to mention how embarrassed Harry must have been. I love the comment the lady on next table makes after the scene, "I'll have what she's having" :D
This was the last movie moment on my list this time. But because there are many, many movie moments that didn't get listed, you can expect to see another Best Movie Moment -list here someday...
... 25 years later he did probably the funniest dance scene ever in Tropic Thunder. I know, that guy doesn't even look like Tom Cruise but I assure you, it's him! (I tried finding a clip where with the song Low by Flo Rida, the original one, but since I couldn't find a good one, I settled for this)
From Tom Cruise to my favourite movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly! One of the best scenes of the movie where the trio, consisting of Blondie, Tuco and Angel Eyes are ready to shoot each for the sake of a treasure. Watch the clip and see what happens. The most memorable movie line ever - "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" - from the movie Gone with the Wind.

Bear postcards from Canada & the Netherlands!
Another set of animal postcards. I know, the other isn't a real bear but I'm not too selective. Teddy bear or a real bear - I don't really care, they're all cute :)

Postcards from CERN!
Couple years ago I visited CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, and, naturally, I bought some postcards from that trip. CERN was on the news a while ago when they claimed to have found that neutrinos would travel faster than light, proving Einstein's Theory of Relativity wrong. Awkwardly, they later noticed that the results where inaccurate, that Einstein was right after all. That was quite embarrassing, I must say.
Oh no, I'm not sure which one this is... It is probably ATLAS expirement, one of the particle detectors. That must be it, because CMS, the particle detector I saw (not from this perspective though) had different colors. Looks complicated, huh? So complicated that I chose humanities over natural sciences at university.
This postcard presents the research results got from bubble chamber, if I remember correctly.

Movies I'm looking forward to
The movies I'm looking forward to are the same movies everyone else is looking forward to: The Hunger Games, Magadascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, The Dictator, The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Bourne Legacy, Skyfall, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Django Unchained,... Unfortunately I can't give you the names of any cool indie films or anything like that because I simply haven't heard of any.
My top3 list of "Movies I'm looking forward to" would include The Dictator, The Bourne Legacy and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Here are my explanations:
I have very high expectations on this movie. I've seen the two previous films where Sacha Baron Cohen has transformed to some ridiculous character and I loved those films. He really crossed all the limits in Borat and Bruno and I expect him to do the same in The Dictator, too. Besides, the topic of the film, dictatorship, is a current topic and it will sure amuse many people. At least it'll make me laugh :D
I wouldn't describe myself as an action movie fan but these movies do still attract me. This movie is especially appealing because it promises something new, something that has not been seen in Bourne movies yet since the leading character is not Jason Bourne anymore. I really wonder how they can make a Bourne movie without Jason Bourne. Well, I have plenty of time to wonder because the movie won't premiere until August.
Finally, the movie we've all been waiting for: The Hobbit!! The world has waited for this movie since the last Lord of the Rings movie in 2003 - almost ten years. I really loved The Lord of the Rings movies so I'm 100% sure that I will love this one, too. In fact, I love this movie already so much that I am sure that it will win the Oscar for Best Motion Picture next year.

Movie postcards from Germany, Poland, Slovakia & Taiwan!
During the past few months I've received more movie postcards :) Lucky me.
Jack Sparrow from Poland and some action hero from Taiwan.
Vertraute Fremde from Germany and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon from Slovakia. Actually I received the card from a Finnish person so maybe it should be in Finland -category. However, the text is in Slovakian, which is why it's in this category.

Dog postcards from Canada, Germany, Poland & USA!
Altough I'm a huge dog fan, I don't consider all these cards very cute... The dogs are fine but the layout is somewhat awkward. Especially the dog with a dog poop bag :D
USA & Germany.
Poland & Canada. This last card, with a wet golden retriever, involves a sad story. The sender of this card wanted to celebrate her dog's Phoenix's life after he passed away. The reason why I wanted to post these postcards today is because today I found out that the world's ugliest dog, Yoda, passed away. He wasn't really ugly, he was adorable and he always looked so happy :) May he rest in peace now.
